Our volunteers are our partners in saving lives, whether they are monitoring donors post-donation for a reaction or they are delivering tissue grafts to our Indianapolis branch. Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services values the many talents our volunteers share with our organization, and we offer a variety of opportunities for interested individuals and groups to be a part of our lifesaving work.
Volunteer positions available within Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services are posted and updated regularly via Volunteer Match.
All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and confidentiality agreement. An interview and orientation are also required for many of our positions. With the exception of special project or group volunteers, we ask each volunteer to complete at least one shift per month for a minimum of six months.
Most positions are available at our downtown Dayton location. All volunteers for Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services must be able to pass a criminal background check. For this reason, we do not accept court-mandated service. Not all volunteer opportunities listed are available at all times. For a complete listing of current opportunities available, please see Volunteer Match.
