Blood Donors Give Blood & Get a Lucky Shirt

DAYTON, OH — (Wednesday, March 7, 2007) Blood donors “give life and good luck” when they donate the “gift of life.”  And during the week of St. Patrick’s Day, everyone who registers to donate blood at any Community Blood Center (CBC) blood drive or branch location between March 12 – 17 will receive a limited edition St. Patrick’s Day green t-shirt (sizes large and LX only)!

CBC urges donors to share their good health with a blood donation at one of its branch locations:

Community Blood Center-Dayton

Community Blood Center-Middletown

Community Blood Center-Richmond, IN

Community Blood Center-Springfield

Community Blood Center -West Chester

Please note: CBC no longer requires donors to provide their social security number when they register to donate.  Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name.  Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card.  Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health.  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
