DAYTON, OH (May 6, 2008) —Community Blood Center (CBC) invites residents in the West Chester area to give blood between Monday, May 13 and Thursday, May 22 for the chance to win a Dell Inspiron laptop computer! Register to donate CBC’s West Chester branch location at 8731 Union Centre Blvd. and you can sign up to win a Dell Inspiron laptop computer, donated by the Dell Inc., Ohio Operations, located in the West Chester area. Blood donors are true heroes of the heart helping to save nearly five million American lives annually. About 5% of the US population gives 100% of the blood used by hospital patients!
Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card. Donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: form available at www.givingblood.org or at CBC branch & blood drive locations), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
