DAYTON, OH — (July 2, 2007) Community Blood Center (CBC) invites you to become a holiday hero by donating blood the week of the July 4th holiday. Donors who register to give blood at any CBC branch location in Dayton, Middletown, Richmond, Springfield or West Chester will receive a free T-shirt and will be entered to win Kings Island tickets. Currently, the area blood supply is critically low going into the holiday week. CBC has a one day supply of key blood types on its shelves. Please help boost the blood supply during the July 4th holiday week.

- CBC will raffle two pair of Kings Island tickets every hour.
- PRE 4th of July picnic for donors with hotdogs, chips and baked beans in the canteen!
- CBC-Dayton is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on July 2 and from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on July 3.
- July 5 & 6
- CBC will raffle two pair of Kings Island tickets every hour.

All locations of CBC are closed on the 4th of July.
Please note: CBC no longer requires donors to provide their social security number when they register to donate. Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card.
Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically. Individuals with eligibility questions are invited to email canidonate@cbccts.org or call 1(800)388-GIVE.
