DAYTON, OH — (July 6, 2007) Register to donate blood the week of July 9th and you could win tickets to a Cincinnati Reds game. Everyone who registers to give blood at Community Blood Center (CBC) in Dayton, 349 S. Main St., will be automatically entered to win one of ten pairs of Reds tickets to the July 24th Reds vs. Milwaukee game. A winner will be drawn on Monday, July 16.
Additionally, everyone who registers to donate at any branch location (Dayton, Middletown, Richmond, Springfield and West Chester) on Fridays in July will be eligible to win a pair of Kings Island tickets. CBC is in the midst of its Hero Blood Tour summer blood donation campaign. All registered donors at all CBC locations will receive a FREE Hero T-shirt. Please note: CBC no longer requires donors to provide their social security number when they register to donate. Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
