DAYTON, OH (July 11, 2008) —Community Blood Center (CBC) invites you to give blood between Monday, July 14 and Saturday, July 26 and receive a $5 gas card just for registering to donate. Register to donate during the Pump Up the Blood Supply blood drive at any community mobile or CBC branch location and you will automatically be entered to win 1 of 20 $250 gas cards from Speedway/SuperAmerica.
Summer is a challenging time for the blood supply as student donors are on break and CBC’s regular donors get busy with seasonal activities and vacations. CBC encourages you to be a summer lifesaver and donate blood!
Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card. Donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: form available at www.givingblood.org or at CBC branch & blood drive locations), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
