Community Blood Center Names New Director of Donor Services

DAYTON, OH — Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS) has named David Kirsch as Director of Donor Services.  Kirsch will manage blood and bone marrow donor recruitment and the marketing/public relations team for blood services.

“I am pleased to welcome David as our new Director of Donor Services.  He brings a solid background in marketing and business that will provide the leadership required to move donor recruitment efforts forward to match the needs of our area,” stated Judith E. Woll, MD, Chief Executive Officer of CBC/CTS.  “He is also a committed blood donor who understands our mission.”

Kirsch comes to CBC/CTS from AMCO Products, Kettering, where he was the Marketing Director.  Kirsch received his MBA from the University of Dayton where he is an adjunct professor of marketing.  He attained his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Advertising from Indiana University at Bloomington and his Associates in Mechanical Engineering from Sinclair Community College.

“What excites me most is the philanthropic nature of what Community Blood Center does,” said Kirsch, a dedicated blood donor who has given seven gallons of blood over the past ten years.  “It’s very gratifying that I spend my workday doing something that contributes to the community in a meaningful way.”

Kirsch, who lives in New Lebanon with his wife Kelly and their daughter Catherine, replaces Norm Krueckeberg who retired after serving as Donor Services Director for 34 years.
